The FCM along with CH2M Hill sponsor this award which is given out yearly to municipal projects that demonstrate the advantages of sustainable community development. Click here to read more. Last winners included the District of Ucluelet for its Official Community Plan, Surrey for its East Clayton Neighourhood Concept Plan and the Town of Okotoks, Alberta for its solar initiatives. Based on the submissions for these awards, the FCM also produces annual best practices guides that describe the winning projects and the submissions.
