Filed in: | December 15, 2008

For the second year in a row, Canada has been branded the "Colossal Fossil Award" at UN Climate talks. Winner of 10 Fossil awards, Canada is seen as the most obstructive country in climate change talks for some of the following reasons:

  • Refusing targets of 25-49% reducttions in GHG's by 2020
  • Failing to renew support for windpower
  • Currently being 30% above ghg reduction targets as laid out by Kyot
