B.C. residents want pesticides banned for cosmetic use

British Columbians are being asked for their opinion on whether the provincial government should ban the use of cosmetic pesticides. Representatives from the Canadian Cancer Society say that there is more than enough research in support of a provincial ban, including a recent Ipsos Reid poll showing that 76% of British Columbians favour the legislation. A number of municipalities in B.C. already have bylaws banning the use of cosmetic pesticides. Read the full story in Global News.
