South Fraser Perimeter Road project will cause loss of farmland

Former Richmond city councillor Harold Steves claims that the BC government's proposed South Fraser Perimeter Road is a "crime against humanity". The road would replace 1200 hectares of agricultural land that could be used to provide food to British Columbians. Steves argues that climate change and the oil crisis could threaten food security, and farmland will be more valuable than the road. Read the full story in The Georgia Straight.
