Corporations are People Too

Gordon Campbell and the BC government are looking to give corporations the right to vote in municipal elections. This comes as industrial ratepayers in forest communities and commercial ratepayers in Vancouver push for homeowners to pay a greater percentage of municipal taxes. If corporations are given the right to vote, foreign corporations doing business in BC may also have the right to vote due to clauses in NAFTA and TILMA. Read the full story on the CCPA website.
